IIBA BAPDD seeking speakers

“The Call for Speakers” brochure is now available for the Columbus Chapter of the IIBA’s BAPDD on September 14th.

Kids Intermediate Agile Workshop

COHAA is developing Central Ohio’s next generation of Agilists.

The Kids Intermediate Agile workshop is an opportunity for kids to learn Agile principles in a fun and interactive environment. Attendance in the Kids Beginner Class is required. Students will be developing their game further as they start incorporating more Agile practices.

The workshop is being taught by Matt Van Vleet, COO of Pillar Technology. In this session the kids will use a programming language called Scratch to develop a video game. They will develop a backlog of work, create a way to track their work, and develop the game.

The course works best for children over six years old.

The workshop is free to registered COHAA members. Seating is limited to 16 students.

Please send email to info@cohaa.org with your name and contact information, include # children, their name and age.

You must log in in order to register your children. Select the number of children who will be participating. Upon checkout, you must enter the children’s name and age in the Order Comments section at bottom of checkout page. If we do not have the child’s name and age, they will not be admitted to the workshop.

IBM’s Rick Weaver shares the story behind IBM’s own agile transformation, by overcoming many trials and tribulations, to a triumphant agile success!

Continue on with the workshop and plot your own journey to agility with a hands-on “day in the life” Scrum experience, facilitated by the Rational Team Concert (RTC) Team. Participants will receive their own flash drive with RTC to take with them.
